Instant pot spaghetti in meat sauce
Easy one pot dish in your trusty instant pot. My go to meal on those nights when I’m tired and I want to put something delicious together quick. No need to precook the spaghetti. The dry spaghetti cooks in the meat sauce and soaks up all that yummy goodness and the ground beef cooks until its soft and tender.

Instructions
  1. Set your instant pot on the sauté function. When it is hot, add the vegetable oil. Most times I just add the ground beef and skip the extra oil. If you are using lean ground beef, you may need to use oil. Add the ground beef and sauté until browned.
  2. Add the diced onions and sauté until fragrant and translucent. Add the blended tomatoes, salt, paprika and curry powder. You can also use jarred pasta sauce. Be sure to scrape the bottom to remove any brown bits. Cook for about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Cancel sauté function. At this point, break the spaghetti in half and layer it on top of the meat sauce. Spread the spaghetti all over the meat sauce and lightly pack it into meat sauce.
  4. Pour the water. Do not stir. Shake the instant pot lightly just to make sure some water settles in the meat sauce.
  5. Pour the pasta sauce over the spaghetti. Totally optional. I just like the extra flavor.
  6. Seal the instant pot and set it on pressure cook, high for 15 minutes.
  7. After the cook time, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes.
  8. Quick release any remaining pressure in the instant pot. Remove lid and mix everything together. Serve hot and enjoy.
